
Stephen Lam
Co-Founder
Stephen Lam is the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Ponte Orchestra and Singers. He also conducts the Macao Youth Symphony Orchestra.
He is a dedicated educator and ardent advocate of community outreach programmes. Currently he gives lectures and conducts at the United International College co-founded by the Beijing Normal University and the Hong Kong Baptist University, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen). He is a regular guest professor-conductor of the Sichuan Music Conservatory in China.
Stephen studied conducting at the prestigious University for Music and Performing Arts Vienna, where he was one of the last students of Uros Lajovic, Ordner Edwin, and Konrad Leitner. He also holds a Bachelor degree in Environmental Science from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Master of Arts in Literary and Comparative Literature from the University of Hong Kong.
