
Kilian Chan
Founder
Kilian Chan is the Founder and Executive Director of the education charity Aura Music to promote multi-disciplinary connection of music and to foster the love of lifelong learning. He hopes to introduce young Asian musicians to promote quality concerts around the region.
Together with Picturebook & Map Artist Maoshan, he designed and runs children workshop “The Carnival of the Animals” around different places in Hong Kong – in cafe, in picturebook store, in childcare centres, and even to Victoria Park! Kilian also is a speaker of “The Most Famous Cello Song” to introduce Bach and his Cello Suite.
He was invited by Young Friends of the Hong Kong Arts Festival, to be the narrator for their Young Friends Music Special Programme “From Literature To Music“ and was the moderator for “Young Composer Showcase”. Between 2012 and 2018, Kilian was the Director of Finance and Development of the Hong Kong Festival Orchestra. He is also the founder of an art-tech initiative Ponte+ exploring new possibilities in audience engagement and interaction. He is also an amateur cellist.
Kilian studied Business Administration at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and hold a master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Hong Kong. He is a private wealth manager of an international financial institution by profession.
