Elijah the Opera Zoom Series
Mendelssohn’s oratorio Elijah has been teetering the edge of opera – the mesmerizing melodies, electrifying scenes and gripping drama. Bel Canto Singers will be presenting this new production coming November and Aura Music is now presenting a Zoom series for the event. We will talk to director Terence Chang and costume design Andrew Cheung on how they reimage the modern Elijah. We will talk to Baritone Albert Lim and conductor Vivian Ip on how they interpret Elijah. We will also talk to Rev Lam Sung-che to understand more about Elijah in religious context. All the sessions will be moderated by Aura Music’s Kilian Chan.
